Bristol Water has awarded a contract for network optimisation and energy management worth an estimated £1.575 million.

Suez Advanced Solutions UK has won the contract, which covers the design, supply and installation of energy optimisation software.

The software uses complex algorithms to optimise energy usage through automatic control of pumps, using real-time telemetry data from the SCADA network.
